B.Y.O.L.® (Bring Your Own Laptop®) sessions ensure that you receive in-depth, hands-on training, and while following along with the instructor step-by-step.

There is a frustration on the part of many HTML designers and instructional designers. While they would love to be able to place content directly on an iPhone or iPad as a native app, they soon realize that a solid knowledge of Xcode is required.

Appcelerator Titanium has enabled web developers to build native applications using only JavaScript, which means you can use the same elements Xcode uses without having to learn Objective C. If you want a native experience without having to learn iOS, Android, and BlackBerry (soon Windows 8) native development, then Titanium is the perfect solution. Learn how your web developers can develop installable learning applications with one code base for all platforms.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Appcelerator Titanium user interface basics
  • Previewing on Android, iPhone, and iPad
  • Creating windows and views
  • Creating tables
  • Adding interactivity
  • Creating a button

All levels of designers, developers, and project managers. This session will use JavaScript basics, but will still be something a novice could learn.

Technology discussed in this session:
JavaScript and Appcelerator Titanium.

BYOL Student Technology Needs:
A laptop or device loaded with Appcelerator Titanium.
