XPERT (XML-based Platform for ELearning and Rapid Training) is a powerful set of non-proprietary tools and technology to efficiently design, develop, and deploy eLearning and mLearning. A series of Government projects and private research and development efforts resulted in a platform which may answer specific needs of Government organizations.
The XPERT eLearning Platform consists of a suite of XML-based commercial off-the-shelf tools, and custom components integrated to streamline development and eliminate repetitive content manipulation. The tools associated with XPERT have been steadily maturing since 2007, and are available to Government and non-commercial organizations for full adoption via an "open source for Government" initiative currently being established. This session will examine the twelve components of the XPERT platform and you will learn how organizations are currently using this tool.
In this session, you will learn:
- How the XPERT platform has evolved
- The 12 components that make up the XPERT platform
- How organizations are currently using the tools to design and develop mobile learning
- How your organization can access and benefit from the open-source tools
Technology discussed in this session: XPERT
Audience: Novice-to-intermediate designers, developers, project managers, and managers who have general design and development experience for mobile learning.
