We live in a changing environment with more ways to connect than ever before, thanks to the ubiquitous presence of social media (SoMe) in our lives. Trainers, and human resource and management professionals need to address the proliferation of new tools and platforms that are entering the enterprise from the home directly into the workplace. Some key issues are: Where to get started? How to measure success? What tools to use? Private networks versus public networks? Out-of-the-box platforms or mix and match? Paid or free?
Session participants will get insights into how to apply the myriad social media tools available for collaboration today in the creation and application of workplace training. You’ll cover a range of tools and address the privacy, security, and other concerns of using them. The sheer number of SoMe resources presents challenges for time management, privacy, and guarding corporate assets. You’ll learn how to address concerns for late adopters, how to manage access, create social media policies, and similar issues. Participants will receive extensive reference material.
In this session, you will learn:
- The impact of SoMe on traditional L&D
- Where to get started with SoMe
- How to select proper ROI measurements
- How some leading companies have adopted SoMe
- How to identify and select the proper SeMe tools for L&D
