Session participants will see several examples of computer simulations and whole-task eLearning designed to accelerate expertise through simulated task performance. You will discuss the design, production, and evaluation of these examples as well as learn a taxonomy of whole-task learning designed to accelerate specific workforce outcome goals. You will have an opportunity to evaluate your learners, goals, and resources to determine which types of simulations and whole-task designs would best meet your needs.
During this session, you will learn:
- The key features for successful design of simulations and whole-task learning environments
- Which categories and production levels of whole-task learning you can adapt to your learning environment
- How to apply what works best in simulated and whole-task learning environments
