Does the premise of using immersive virtual reality (VR) sound great in theory but impractical in execution? More importantly, do you wonder whether VR is more or less effective at developing your employees' soft skills than other learning modalities? Within enterprise L&D, the use of soft skills training via virtual reality at scale is quickly evolving. At PwC, we have multiple use cases of deploying virtual reality (VR) for soft skills training, both in the US and across the network of firms.
In this interactive session we start with the end product and weave our way backward through critical milestones for immersive VR training. You'll work in multiple "workstreams" to identify and troubleshoot some of the design, development, operational, and measurement challenges of implementing VR. Along the way, we will share our journey experiences, lessons learned, and our VR study findings. Through this exercise, you will gain insights into the tools, resources, and process required to create a scalable VR experience. You'll also take away talking points on the efficacy of VR for soft skills training, including how learners experience and perceived VR as compared to other learning modalities. You will leave with a working blueprint for integrating VR into your own organization.
In this session, you will learn to:
- Solve a training problem with virtual reality
- Scale the delivery of a virtual reality training experience
- Identify first steps to consider virtual reality training within your own organization
