GS03 KEYNOTE: Embracing the Mindset of Continuous Learning
11:15 AM - 12:30 PM Friday, March 24
Palm Ballroom
Perspective is everything, especially when it comes to learning. People learn more when they are open to all possibilities, yet too often they are constrained by the limits of their existing perspectives. This challenge also applies to learning professionals’ approach to their own work. Are you a soldier, prone to defending your viewpoint at all costs—or a scout, spurred by curiosity? In this closing keynote, Julia Galef examines the motivations behind these two mindsets and how they shape the way you interpret information. You will explore the questions that people need to examine when confronted with information that goes against their existing opinions. This closing session will give you tips and inspire you to take what you’ve learned at Learning Solutions 2017 and put it into action.
