P23 B.Y.O.L.: Essential Skills to Develop Professional eLearning with Adobe Captivate

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Tuesday, September 29

211

Adobe Captivate gives you the opportunity to create dynamic eLearning to address numerous performance improvement needs. However, many only use a portion of the capability it provides. The opportunity here is to be immersed in the various features available to see how, when combined, media-rich learning experiences can be produced.

In this workshop, you will learn how to use Captivate to create and publish eLearning content from scratch. You’ll create both soft skills and software simulations, demonstrations, and videos. Learn how to produce your Captivate projects with objects such as text captions, images, and highlight boxes. You’ll also learn to record, import, and edit audio, and how to further enhance the learner experience by adding interactivity via click boxes, buttons, and text entry boxes. Finally, you’ll publish your project in SWF and HTML5 formats for consumption on virtually any device, including the iPad, iPhone, and other mobile devices.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to record demonstrations and simulations
  • How to create simulations out of demonstrations
  • How to create captions, styles, and timing
  • How to add pointers, buttons, and highlight boxes
  • How to record, edit, and embed audio

Audience:
Novice designers and developers.
